Vlada Predelina (1991) is an artist based in Rotterdam. Her work looks into the meaning of a sense of place through a range of media including food, natural dyes, bioplastics and ceramics. She creates gatherings around a particular medium as a focus to bring out intimate discussions and situated histories. Current research looks into the role of tacit knowledge systems of women in relation to land and colonial expansion through making, growing or gathering around food and the kitchen table.

Since 2020 she has been working as part of Eathouse, an artist collective with Jake Caleb, Merve Kılıçer, Ulufer Çelik exploring the potential of food as an artistic method where the culinary informs the social.

Tuinlab | a garden project outside of Atelier Borneveld 169 building in collaboration with artists, neighbours, and children, exploring the possibilities of connecting through art, research, nature, embodied knowledge, getting hands dirty, and learning about the origins of food.

Island Ears | a collective research and artistic intervention project with Clara Harmssen, Ishtar Bakhtali and Maurice Specht at and with the Brienenoord Island. This research looks closely at the history of this man-made island, with the long term aim to give it its own voice and eventually rights as a natural park. For this, we've been thinking about being together with the island, through eating, observing, feeling and listening in order to find ways to amplify its voice, its story and its hopes for the future.
